Halloween Hauntings

Candy, Candy and more…

Halloween came and Branden and Bailey conquered the monsterous task of collecting as much candy as they could. Branden was Spiderman and Bailey invented his own costume. He wanted Green Hair, Spots, “Pointy Things” and a Tail. His wish became our command and he delighted in his costume when he saw himself in the mirror. They both fought over who would give out candy to each visitor to our door. Branden bored of the giving far before Bailey did and instead became engrossed by his new gameboy game he bought with money from his birthday.

Grandpa and Grandma Matusky, Stefanie and Michelle, and us (Branden, Bailey, Stacy and myself) went to Knotts Berry Farm on discounted tickets Saturday. What a great day to go. Apparantly almost everyone who was going to Knotts that day waited until the very expensive “Knotts Scarey Farm – Halloween Haunt” opened later that evening. The regular operation was only open until 5:30. So we benefitted from the lack of crowds and spent very little time waiting in lines for anything. Park employees were for the most part sitting around bored out of their minds.

All the rides were in operation and we went on everything we wanted to. Some were ridden twice. Juanita and I braved the Supreme Scream where one gets strapped into a seat, lifted 30 stories high and then dropped. Somewhere near the bottom the machinery cushions the eminent crash of bodies and ground and softly bounces us all a few times before lowering all to the ground. Pretty cool, but not for the faint of heart. Bailey’s favorite ride was in Camp “Spookey” (Snoopy) called Snoopy’s Speedway and he got the giggles on it and rode it twice, crying when we finally had to drag him away as closing time approached.

We all had dinner at Claim Jumper in Irvine where the favorite dish was Meat Loaf with Mashed Potatoes. Branden had kids pizza and claimed it was “Awesome!”. Bailey had some of the pizza and some of Stacy’s dinner. We were all exausted by the time we got home and were very thankful for the extra hour of sleep afforded by time change and gaining an extra hour.

Sunday we had a combined birthday party for Branden, Bailey and Michelle as their birthdays are all within a month and Grandparents brought gifts and we had a nice lunch and Cake. Even Great Grandpa Mert was there.

I will be creating another slideshow in the next few days, so check back.

HAPPY BIRTHDAYS TO BRANDEN, BAILEY AND MICHELLE!!!

and HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!
