Mall of America

P1010091The Mall of America is a supersized version of most every mall I’ve been to. It’s 3 levels surrounding “Camp Snoopy” a small amusement park with a couple of roller-coasters. One traditional style and the second is a cross between the spinning “Tea Cups” ride at Disneyland and a very twisty traditional roller-coaster. The base of the car follows the track and the seat compartment, which holds 4 people 2 facing 2, spins. This gives the passengers quite a wild ride. There is a small log plume ride and a large swinging platform which spins and twists as it goes round. There are several kiddie rides and shops with “Camp Snoopy” souvenirs.

The retail shops and kiosks don’t open until 11:00am but some of the small food stands are opened at 9:00 am. I had all day, so I wandered around window shopping. There were some stores that had multiple locatons in the mall. I found about 4 shops dedicated to Minnesotan souveniers and I found a couple of stuffed animals for Branden and Bailey. I had to get a postcard for Branden’s school project so I searched for one of those too.

I had a quick breakfast at McDonalds (I had to get a diet Pepsi because the Mall of America is strictly a Pepsi place).

Now I’m at the airport awaiting my flight. I found an electrical outlet and am watching Law and Order on my laptop while waiting.
