It’s all happening so fast. Sold the boat, went on a business trip, came back and bought an RV all in less than 30 days.
It was an incredible lineup of events with divine intervention. We sold the boat, for more than what we’d hoped for and only slightly less than what we asked for, and in one weekend. Next I had to fly to Boston for work.
A historic snow storm the day before I was to arrive didn’t stop me. Boston had the roads cleared and runways cleared the day my flight was to arrive. I made it with only a short delay between Newark and Boston.
The day I was to return, the weather people predicted a severe ice storm to hit the area… it warmed and only a light rain was happening when I boarded my flight home. No delays, though there was a bit of turbulence.
When I got home, Stacy had found a trailer to look at nearby. We took a look, made an offer and bought from the nice gentleman and his wife who took great care of the 2017 Jayco JayFlight 245RLSW travel trailer. The previous day I tried once again to find a storage facility anywhere in a 50 mile radius… everyone had a huge waitlist. But one facility, not 5 miles away, opened just that week and had nearly 300 open spaces. I was customer #10 YAY! Got a great spot where I could open the slide out because there wasn’t another space to that side. A nice long back in run to get the trailer straight and positioned where I wanted without any stress and I’m quite happy with it. More divine intervention.
We just got back from our first, very short, camping trip to Lake Skinner where we had such a nice time we’re going back in March.
There is still quite a bit of work to do to make the trailer ours but we’re now RVing!!!
